Inês Rodrigues
Despite having a degree in Marketing and Communication, Inês quickly realised that her world would go hand in hand with interior design. It was in 2020, when she moved to a new house, that she developed an even deeper love for the field, taking full responsibility for her parents' home decoration project. Alongside this project, she also began sharing content related to the topic on her social media, where she has been forging a unique path in the home styling area, already boasting her own interior design consultancy brand - CRÈME Interior Design by Inês Rodrigues.
She now owns her own home, where she continues to inspire people through decorating content, home styling tips, and lifestyle advice.
Why did you choose Cabeceiras.pt products?
INÊS RODRIGUES: For a long time, I did a lot of research and never found a brand that created something as unique as we wanted for our home, as Cabeceiras.pt could offer. So, it was an easy decision!
Is there a connection between personality and home décor?
INÊS RODRIGUES: Yes! I truly believe that our personality is reflected in our home and the choices we make for decorating it! In our case, I think our home fully represents us, and we're not the only ones who think so.
It's nice when someone who knows us personally realises how aligned our home's style is with who we are and what we stand for.
What is your daily life at home like?
INÊS RODRIGUES: I love being at home and enjoying it at my own pace. When I have a little time in the morning, I like to leave my room tidy, the bed made, and everything minimally organized, so that when I return at the end of the day, I feel a different sense of peace and welcome.
Even so, when I get home, I always make sure to tidy and organize the spaces where we spend most of our time and socialize, and in a more detailed way (vacuuming, dusting). As someone who is passionate about decorating, the highlight of my ideas is always when I return home and relax to study and get inspired, whether on social media or in magazines, because I love to read.
I'm always looking for new accessories I can add to the house and I study the space very carefully to understand what is truly necessary, but also with the aim of our home serving as inspiration for my community.
What are the daily challenges of someone passionate about decoration?
INÊS RODRIGUES: Honestly, one of the biggest challenges is dealing with my creative mind. I have a full-time job that takes up a large part of my day, and when I get home and embrace my personal projects, ideas can either flow very easily or not appear at all that night.
And in line with what I mentioned at the beginning, it's also sometimes difficult to deal with so much excitement in my head – it's all or nothing – and when I should be "resting," my creative mind is constantly having ideas that just don't stop! It's good to have this "gift," but it's undoubtedly the most challenging thing to manage.
The Claire Puff,
it is a designer product. Inspired by Mario Bellini's collection, it is the perfect extra for any room in the house. Whether for the living room, hall, bedroom, or closet, its design always makes it a current trend.
3 tips for someone who wants to start decorating their own home.
INÊS RODRIGUES:
- Think beforehand about the style(s) you want to have in a home: modern, contemporary, minimalist, etc... and the color palette you would like to have in each space, always in harmony with the entire house. It then becomes much easier when making purchasing decisions.
- Create a mood board of everything you plan to have in each space to see if the products match each other. There are products that you might not be able to return later and you'll be forced to keep them.
- Buy some things (that you are sure you want) in advance and create a kind of "trousseau," in order to take advantage of promotions and sales. On the other hand, for larger items that involve measurements, be careful not to buy them without first being in the space and evaluating how they would actually look.
